31 weeks & counting!

My sincere apologies for my neglecting of the blog...to those of you still following! Needless to say we've been a little busy. Since our last post we have had 2 marvelous showers hosted by family and friends- whom really know how to throw baby showers! It was fabulous getting to see all the familiar faces and catch up with the little time we had. Besides them all being fun & pretty (men & women) they are also VERY gracious! We also took a little "babymoon" to San Francisco which was also fabulous! We are just putting the finishing touches on the nursery which included Justin finishing up the dresser & getting an organizer for the closet- for all the wonderful clothes & necessities we have received. This little lady is not going to go without, I'm pretty sure the family & friends will see to it! ;) Daddy-O has worked his hands raw (literally) on the furniture for the nursery and his hard work has definitely paid off, it all looks great! Most of the furniture in the nursery was purchased "gently-used" and refurbished. It was our little way of making her living quarters a little more personal, environmentally friendly & of course protecting the pocket book!
As for mom-to-be & baby....we're on the home stretch! There are more praises than complaints at this point, we've been extremely blessed with good health. The dog days of summer have yet to hit (thank God), but that definitely doesn't mean that mom has not issued the complaining/puppy dog eyes to force dad to turn on the air. This extra weight is really taxing & HOT. We are now visiting the mid-wife(s) every 2 weeks. Results from the glucose test/blood work came back A-ok which was a relief....chocolate & fat seem to be the favorites still. As for now, we're counting our lucky chickens & trying to enjoy the last few weeks of mom & dad to-be's!

31 weeks + 3 days
