We made it! I am 14 weeks today. Mentally, it's a celebration. The chances of miscarriage have significantly declined and the uterus will soon be expanding outside of the pelvic cavity. Which means that the "bump" will soon (hopefully) start popping out to visually/physically prove that I am in fact pregnant and NOT just fat. Okay, well maybe a little of both. Momma likes food. All vital organs should be developed. He/she is beginning to hear, produce urine, is about the size of a lemon (3.5-5 inches long) and weighs approximately 1.5 oz.
In other news, we were able to hear the heartbeat for the first time last week. The little boogers little heart rate is nothing to mess with. At a dashing 154 bpm, he/she is ready to take on the world. Elroy must have been excited as well, he made just enough of a movement that we were able to hear his little flutter. It was exhilarating to say the least.
