Can you believe your eyes? We couldn't! As unbelievable as it may be, the tests do not lie. After not 1, not 2, but 5 tests I took a trip to the Doc to have the rumor confirmed. Since then, I have had my first OB appointment. This visit consisted of a lot of paperwork, blood work, and a handy dandy pap smear. The Dr. explained that everything felt "normal" for 8 weeks. Whatever normal is, I do not know but reassuring nonetheless. At this appointment they scheduled my first ultrasound for the following Tuesday......which is tomorrow!! We are excited & nervous but mostly anxious to hear the zygote (most recently turned fetus) lil' beating heart. For now, we (or I should say I) have nicknamed the little feller Elroy. We can't wait to hear & see Elroy. Fingers crossed, prayers prayed that everything is safe and sound with Elroy. Please note, the pessimism that is Alisha is improving daily....good news for us all! Look for an update tomorrow and for the next ~ 31 weeks!
